A typical day begins at 6:00 a.m. with a 1 mile run, breakfast, and chores, followed by a physical education class. Students then spend the remainder of the morning in the classroom where they memorize Scripture, pray, have Bible study, and pursue academic challenges.
After lunch a new family member is assigned a project to teach him submission to authority and the importance of a strong work ethic by maintaining a 50 acre campus. This creates pride in his PAYH home. When he has met these objectives, he is given the opportunity to improve his education. At this point he begins spending the majority of his time in school.
Following the evening meal, the boys enjoy various types of supervised recreation. These activities include basketball, weightlifting, fishing, swimming, or playing board games.
The PAYH program is designed to develop each young man spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially, in keeping with the Biblical model of Luke 2:52, "And He grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man."
